- Starting at 6 p.m., kick off the evening with lively DJ entertainment to set the mood.
- At 7 p.m., join in for the official welcome, marking the beginning of the festivities.
- From 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., groove to the awesome tunes of “The Viva Band” as they perform live on stage.
- And the highlight of the night? At 9 p.m., head to the beach for a spectacular fireworks display right offshore.

Traffic and Parking Information:
Important info to help you navigate traffic and parking for the July 4th festivities in Hollywood:
- Due to expected heavy traffic and no public shuttle service to the barrier island, access will be limited. The Hollywood Police Department will be monitoring parking and beach capacity to ensure everyone’s safety. Once capacity is reached, motorists will be redirected to alternative routes.
Rideshare (Uber and Lyft):
- Uber and Lyft drivers can drop off and pick up passengers at the designated spot on Tyler Street between A1A and Surf Road. Please anticipate delays due to heavy traffic.
Sun Shuttle:
- The Hollywood Sun Shuttle, operated by Circuit, offers an eco-friendly electric transportation option. It runs from points west of I-95 to downtown Hollywood, Hollywood Beach, and along portions of Federal Highway.
- An App-requested ride costs $2.00 per person per ride. Hailing a ride is free; simply hop on and off along the driver’s route.
- On July 4th, the Sun Shuttle will operate from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., dropping off passengers at the designated rideshare location on Hollywood Beach.
- Download the free “Ride Circuit” App from the App Store or Google Play to use this service.
- Expect heavy traffic, potential service delays, and route adjustments due to congestion.

Traffic Plan – Expect Heavy Delays:
Dania Beach Boulevard:
- From 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., access to the barrier island will be closed. Eastbound traffic will be U-Turned and directed west on Dania Beach Boulevard.
Sheridan Street:
- From 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m., no eastbound traffic will be allowed onto the barrier island via Sheridan Street. Eastbound traffic will be redirected north onto SE 5th Ave, south onto North 14th Avenue, or westbound on Sheridan Street.
Hollywood Boulevard:
- From 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., the southbound A1A exit ramp to westbound Hollywood Boulevard will be closed.
- From 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., eastbound traffic will be directed north or south on A1A.
- From 8:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m., all eastbound traffic from Hollywood Boulevard to A1A will be directed southbound only.
Hallandale Beach Boulevard:
- From 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., all northbound traffic on A1A will be directed to U-Turn at Jackson Street southbound towards Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
Ocean Drive – North of Sheridan Street:
- From 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m., northbound traffic will be directed north toward Dania Beach Boulevard. Southbound traffic will be directed west on Sheridan Street.
Ocean Drive – Sheridan Street to Hollywood Boulevard:
- From 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., southbound traffic between Sheridan Street and Hollywood Boulevard will be restricted to one lane. The southbound A1A exit ramp to westbound Hollywood Boulevard will be closed. Northbound traffic should exit at Sheridan Street. Broward County Transit will travel northbound only during this timeframe.

Holland Park and Polk Street Marina:
- Once the parking lots are full, only exiting vessel traffic will be permitted at the marina.
Bridge Schedule:
- Intracoastal Waterway bridges will follow regular schedules throughout the day and early evening. From 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., bridges at Dania Beach Boulevard, Sheridan Street, and Hollywood Boulevard will remain down to accommodate vehicular traffic. Marine traffic will be limited.
Parking:
Public parking at City-operated garages on the barrier island is first come, first served. The Garfield Parking Garage at 300 Connecticut Street and the Nebraska Parking Garage at 327 Nebraska Street are expected to fill quickly; a SPECIAL EVENT FLAT RATE of $30 for 24 hours applies from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Standard rates apply only at downtown Hollywood’s Radius Garage at 250 N 19th Avenue and Van Buren Garage at 251 S 20th Avenue.
Public parking is available at Hollywood Beach locations including Hollywood Beach Garage at A1A and Hollywood Boulevard, North Beach Park at Sheridan Street and A1A (must enter before sundown), Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort at A1A and Johnson Street, Keating Park at 2400 S. Ocean Drive/301 Magnolia Terrace, Dunewalk/Summit Lot at 1200 S. Ocean Drive, and Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood at 3555 S. Ocean Drive. Special event rates may vary at these sites. Visitors parking on private property must follow owners’ rules to avoid tickets, tows, or immobilization.

General Information and Safety for 4th Of July on Hollywood Beach 2024:
Enhanced Safety Measures:
- Expect to see more police around ensuring everyone’s safety and enforcing city rules. Please follow all regulations while enjoying the barrier island. You can find beach rules at each entrance.
- Lifeguard stations and first-aid stations are conveniently located along the beach for any assistance you may need.
- If you notice anything concerning, don’t hesitate to approach a police officer, security personnel, or a lifeguard. In an emergency, dial 911.
Prohibited Items and Rules:
- For everyone’s safety, certain items are not allowed on the beach, including alcoholic beverages, firearms, fireworks, sparklers, glass, single-use plastics and foam items, large coolers, and barbecue grills. These items will be confiscated if found.
- Canopies larger than 10’ x 10’ or connected canopies are also prohibited.
- Please note that dogs are not allowed on the Broadwalk except for service animals. They are welcome between the lifeguard stands at Pershing and Custer Street.
Picnicking and Cleanliness:
- You can enjoy picnicking in designated areas on the sandy beach between Sherman and Custer streets, as well as at Charnow Park (Garfield Street), Keating Park (Magnolia Terrace), and Harry Berry Park (Azalea Terrace).
- Help us keep Hollywood Beach beautiful by using reusable items and cleaning up after yourself at the end of the day. Avoid overfilling trash bins, and remember, Hollywood Beach is free of plastic and foam products.
Sea Turtle Nesting Season:
- It’s prime nesting season for sea turtles, so if you plan to watch fireworks on the sand, please steer clear of nesting areas and dunes. Light sources, including flashlights, can affect sea turtle nesting habits.
- If you encounter a sea turtle or nest, do not disturb it. Interfering with a sea turtle nest can result in serious penalties.
Boating Safety:
- The Hollywood Police Marine Unit will be vigilant, so boaters are reminded to travel at safe speeds and watch out for protected species like manatees and sea turtles.
- Collisions with or injuries to these species must be reported immediately to the Sea Turtle Emergency Line (954.328.0580) and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (1.888.404.FWCC).
- Spectator boats are not allowed to anchor on sea grass, hard bottom, or coral reef structures and could face penalties. Boaters must stay at least 1,400 feet away from the fireworks barge.
Public Amenities:
- Public restrooms are conveniently located at the Nebraska Street Parking Garage and at various points along the Broadwalk (Tyler, Fillmore, Johnson, Garfield, Taft, and Missouri Streets) for your convenience.
