Hollywood Beach Renourishment Sand Tilling.

As part of the Army Corps of Engineers Beach Renourishment Project, the City of Hollywood Department of Design & Construction Management’s contractor, Continental Heavy Civil Corp (CHC), will be conducting tilling operations on the sandy beach on Monday, April 15th through Friday, April 19th from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The tilling operations are necessary to ensure the sand remains level and secure along the beach.
This operation serves as part of a larger project by the Army Corps of Engineers to maintain the beach’s integrity and protect against erosion.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and patience during the construction period.

Your cooperation is needed; please avoid setting up beach chairs, umbrellas, blankets, personal items, and concessions within the designated work zone areas.
Additionally, please keep a safe distance from the work zone areas.
Each day, work will begin after sea turtle surveyor inspections.
This effort is to ensure the safety of both workers and the protected sea turtle species in the area.
The work zone area will reopen for public use at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Individuals can resume normal beach activities once the work zone areas reopen, and the beach is deemed safe for public use.
