When Yossi & Hadass Oren moved to South Florida, they couldn’t believe there weren’t any Virtual Reality arcades to find. So they decided to open VR Player 1, Hollywood’s first dedicated Virtual Reality arcade, at 1939 Hollywood Boulevard in Downtown Hollywood.
The VR arcade offers an immersive experience for all ages, with a variety of games and activities to keep you entertained for hours on end.
“Everyone is buying VR for home use,” said Hadass, “but an arcade is special, fun and different. Adults and kids can enjoy it together. And it’s great for date nights, families and nightlife!”
They searched for a location with good foot traffic and a social atmosphere, explained Yossi. Driving down Hollywood Boulevard, they knew they’d found it.
“The first time we went to look, we knew it was meant to be,” said Hadass. “It was literally perfect.”
“And now that we’re here, the people have been so friendly, we know that it really is a great spot,” she continued. “And the nightlife here is amazing, so we can stay open late.”
VR Player 1 has 12 Virtual Reality stations. There are lots of games or options on each station, and most can be played by two or more people. For example, you can ski or waterski on a motorcycle ride. The arena offers team games like Laser Tag. Most of the experiences last five to 15 minutes.
A private room is available for parties, and the entire space can be rented for bigger events. Refreshments, pizza, snacks, and drinks can be purchased.
Play packages include the Bronze at $30, which includes 3 experiences, and keeps the player playing for about 25 minutes; the Silver package of 5 experiences for $39 which lasts for about 45 minutes; and the $59 Diamond package which offers 80 minutes of unlimited play. For Birthday parties, they have special rates which start at $650 for up to 10 kids. The party package includes exclusive access to the private room, Pizza, Soda, and party supplies (like paper goods and decorations). Virtual Reality is the next big thing, and VR Player 1 is leading the way in Downtown Hollywood.
