Are you ready for some Good Clean Fun!
The Seminole Hard Rock and Casino is open. As are the new Guitar Hotel and surrounding facilities. There are, of course, restrictions in place to keep social distancing and masks are required, but it is great to finally get out again and experience life.
I visited the casino last Friday to watch the NBA playoffs (Game 2… The Miami Heat got a whooping). Since the game started at 9:00 pm we were looking for a sports bar that would not kick us out at 11:00 pm. Our first walk was to the Center Bar in the middle of the casino. A nice lively lounge that is in the middle of all the action with lots of televisions to watch the game. However the bar itself was off limits and no seating allowed. Only lounge seats in groups of 2 or 4. We were a small party so that didn’t matter, but they did say they stop serving alcohol at 11. We decided to press on and see what else the Hollywood Hard Rock and Casino had to offer.
We walked around for a few moments, and went outside the gaming area when we came upon the Oculus Bar, which was really very chic and not too crowded at all, however, there were no televisions to watch the game. We asked the hostess if there was a good place to watch the game and she said that the Play lounge is the sports bar we want. We apparently walked right past it when we came in.
As we made our way back through the promenade and the Lucky Street Garage entrance, we came to the Play Sports Bar. Not only did they have plenty of TVs to watch the game, they also had a nice high top table for us and they stay open, serving alcohol past 11.
Luckily we were there 40 minutes before the game and secured a great seat. We ordered a bucket of beer, some chicken wings and settled in for the game. By the time we left after the game had ended (around 11:30). There was a line of 30 people waiting to get in (Even though they are open the capacity was still limited to 50%).
There are quite a few other restaurants, shops, and things to do at Hollywood’s Seminole Hard Rock Casino. If you are looking to gamble, the casino is open with ‘Safe and Sound’ cleaning protocols. Many of the restaurants and shops are open as well with limited capacity for social distancing.
If you are looking for some sense of normalcy in a good clean fun environment, Hard Rock has your ticket.
