The Hollywood, Florida Mardi Gras Street Festival is just a few days away and the festivities will happen on Sunday Feb 25th in Downtown Hollywood FL. Here are a few helpful tips to have a fun and safe Mardi Gras Festival.
Enjoy Downtown Parking Options
Explore convenient parking options throughout the city, including street parking, city parking garages, and private surface lots, all at varying rates. For a comprehensive list of city-run parking choices, check out the City of Hollywood’s Downtown Parking Guide HERE.
If driving isn’t your cup of tea, consider using your preferred rideshare service for a responsible and stress-free Mardi Gras experience.
Arrive Early for the Festivities
Secure a prime viewing spot for the parade and surrounding activities by arriving early. Hollywood Mardi Gras unfolds from 1 pm to 7 pm on February 25th, 2024. Hollywood Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic between 19th and 20th Avenue from 6 am to approximately 10 pm on February 25th. Dress up in vibrant costumes, join the festivities, and let the good times roll!
Show Respect for the Police
The Hollywood Police Department plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and safe Hollywood Mardi Gras experience. With numerous events happening simultaneously, your cooperation is essential for their quick and decisive actions when needed. Extend kindness and courtesy to make their challenging jobs a bit easier and ensure everyone has a fantastic time.
Do Not Bring These Items
Please refrain from bringing bottles, cans, backpacks, or coolers to Hollywood Mardi Gras. Any of these items will be confiscated, and you won’t get them back. These restrictions are in place to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees. Let’s work together to create a memorable and secure Mardi Gras celebration this year.
Do Not Drink Alcohol if Under 21
The Hollywood Police Department enforces a zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking and is adept at identifying and arresting offenders promptly. If you’re under 21, consuming alcohol at Mardi Gras can lead to prosecution and a permanent alcohol offense on your record.
Respect the Celebration, Avoid Vandalism
It may sound obvious, but let’s be mindful not to damage anyone’s belongings or property, especially those of the gracious Hollywood residents hosting the Mardi Gras celebration. Be good guests and show respect for our hosts’ property.
